        Who is Uğur Polat?

        Biography

        Türk tiyatro, sinema ve dizi oyuncusudur. 1978 yılında Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu'na katıldı. 1981'de İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuarı Tiyatro Bölümünde eğitim gördü. 16 yıldır Devlet Tiyatrosu'nda ve 30 tiyatro eserinde rol aldı. 1996 yılında İsmet Küntay Tiyatro Ödülü'nü aldı. Çevirdiği birçok sinema filmlerinde de ödüllere layık görüldü. Bunlardan bazıları; Salkım Hanım'ın Taneleri ile Antalya Altın Portakal Film Festivali'nde "En İyi Erkek Oyuncu"; Bütün Kapılar Kapalıydı sinema filmi ile 1990 yılında Ankara Film Festivali'nde "Umut Veren Oyuncu" ödülünü aldı.
