        2010 Nisan'ında BP'ye ait Deepwater Horizon petrol platformunun Meksika Körfezi'nde infilak etmesiyle doğa, son yılların en büyük çevre felaketlerinden birine tanık olmuştu. Film bir çoğunun gözden kaçırdığı bir hikâyeyi konu alıyor. Deepwater Horizon: Büyük Felaket'te Mark Wahlberg'e, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O'Brien ve Kate Hudson eşlik ediyor.
