        Jake Gyllenhaal'un başrolünde yer aldığı Pes Etme(Stronger), 2013 yılında Boston Maratonu'nun bitiş noktasına yakın bir bölgede gerçekleştirilen bombalı saldırının ardından, 27 yaşındaki Bostonlu bir işçi olan Jeff Bauman'ın gerçek hayat hikâyesini konu alıyor.

        Sıradan bir adam olan Jeff Bauman'ın (Jake Gyllenhaal) Şehrinde ve dünyasında, umudun sembolü olarak insanların kalbine girer. 27 yaşındaki işçi sınıfı bir Bostonlu olan Jeff, maratonda eski kız arkadaşı Erin'i (Tatiana Maslany) geri kazanmaya çalışır. Patlama meydana geldiğinde bitiş çizgisinde onu beklerken, saldırıda iki bacağı da kaybeder.
