Kardeş Türküler Concert

For 30 years, Kardeş Türküler has been presenting the different languages and cultures of our geography to a wide audience with a pluralistic approach, reinterpreting traditional songs without losing the spirit of these lands. They produce new compositions inspired by the traditions and forms of the peoples of Anatolia, Thrace and Mesopotamia.
Taking 'living together by respecting differences' as its motto, Kardeş Türküler has tried to contribute to the documentation and sharing of the cultural/musical tradition shaped in a common geography from outside of a unifying perspective; on the other hand, it has emphasized the importance of not only uncovering and underlining the richness of this heritage, but also the need to reproduce it through new searches and has shaped its work from this understanding.
Since its foundation, it has enriched its stage with music and dances reflecting the cultural diversity of these lands by adding songs in languages such as Turkish, Kurdish, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Macedonian, Greek, Laz, Georgian, Gypsy, Circassian, Syriac and Arabic to its repertoire. Kardeş Türküler continues to express the hope of living together in brotherhood and plurality.
