Trio Mandilini Concert
Trio Mandili is composed of three female artists who elegantly interpret traditional Georgian polyphony, reminiscent of a modern Caucasian fairy tale. Their mesmerizing voices penetrate the listener's heart like streams flowing through the mountains.
One day, while hiking in the village, Tatuli shot a video of them singing, which was uploaded to the internet and within two weeks had millions of views and changed their lives. Today Trio Mandili has 1.35 million subscribers on Facebook and over 1.7 million on YouTube.
The band's name comes from "mandili", a traditional female headscarf. In Georgian culture, women used to drop this handkerchief on the ground to reconcile men who were fighting.
The band has toured around the world and performed in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Israel, Poland and many other countries. Their albums "With Love", "Enguro", "Sakartvelo" and "Hallelujah" reflect the spirit of Georgia and the warmth of its people through their music.
