BiographyPekdemir, 10 Şubat 1943'te, Giresun'da doğdu. Liseyi bitirdikten sonra Ankara Hukuk Fakültesine girdi. 1963'te konservatuvarın tiyatro bölümünü kazanınca hukuk eğitimine ara vererek konservatuvara devam etti. 1968'de İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı Tiyatro Bölümü'nden mezun oldu. Konservatuvarın ilk yılında beş arkadaşı ile GRUP-6 Tiyatrosunu kurdu ve Türkiye'de ilk Bertolt Brecht oyununu sergiledi. Aynı yıl hocası Yıldız Kenter'in tiyatrosunda yine bir Brechtoyunu olan Üç Kuruşluk Opera ile profesyonel tiyatro hayatına başladı.
2 senedir Akciğer kanseri ile mücadele eden ve kısa bir süre önce de korona virüsü atlatan ünlü oyuncu Atilla Pekdemir, 31.01.2021 tarihinde İzmir'de hayatını kaybetti.
