        Who is Necmettin Çobanoğlu?

        Biography

        Refahiye'nin Hanzar (Teknecik) köyünde doğan sanatçı özellikle Yılmaz Güney'in Yol filmindeki rolüyle tanınır. Sanat dünyasına girişi, çekim setlerinde yardımcı eleman olarak 1967'de başlayan Çobanoğlu, askerliğinin ardından Yeşilçam'da set işçiliğinin yanı sıra dublör olarak da çalışmayı sürdürdü. Bir süre sonra prodüksiyon işleriyle ilgilenmeye başlayan sanatçı, 12 Eylül Darbesi'nde, Sine-sen yöneticisi olduğu için yargılandı. 1992'de beraat eden Necmettin Çobanoğlu, 1999 seçimlerinde ÖDP'den milletvekili adayı oldu, ancak parti barajı geçemediğinden seçilemedi. Sanatçıya 47. Uluslararası Antalya Film Festivalinde "Sinemada Emek Ödülü" verilmiştir.
