BiographySerhat Özcan, 8 Ağustos 1961 tarihinde Sinop, Durağan'da doğmuştur. Aslen Boyabat'lıdır. Tam adı Serhat Süha Özcan'dır. Babası astsubaydır. 4 kardeşi vardır. Tiyatrocu Reha Özcan (d.1965) kardeşidir. Gemlik lisesinden 1979 yılında mezun oldu. 1984 yılında İstanbul Belediye Konservatuarında okurken askere alındı.
Serhat Özcan, tiyatro hayatına 1978 yılında amatör olarak Balıkesir Halk Eğitim'in tiyatro kurslarında başladı. Bir dönem Altay'da ve Karagümrük'de top oynadı, muavinlik, garsonluk gibi birçok işte çalıştı. Y.K.Bank Çocuk Tiyatrosu, Dostlar Tiyatrosu, Ferhan Şensoy'un Nöbetçi Tiyatro'su, İstanbul Belediye Konservatuarı ve 1995 yılında Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi tiyatrolarında çalışmıştır.
