Who is Umut Görkem Demir?
BiographyUmut Görkem Demir, 10 Şubat 1993 tarihinde doğmuştur. Ortaokul yıllarında tiyatroya olan büyük tutkusu ve heyecanıyla sahne hayatına adım atmış, öğretmenlerinin teşviki ve ailesinin desteği sayesinde 13-14 yaşlarında ilk sahne deneyimini yaşamıştır. Perde Sanat Tiyatrosu ile tanışması, bir ilanlarına başvurmasıyla gerçekleşmiş olup, bu süreçte Nereye, Alaaddin, İstibdat Kumpanyası ve Bu Da Geçer Ya Hu gibi önemli yapımlarda rol almıştır. Şu anda Frekans 11 oyununda yönetmen yardımcılığı yapmaktadır ve Pst oyuncuları ekibinde aktif olarak görev almaya devam etmektedir. Umut Görkem Demir, oyunculuğunun yanı sıra tiyatro oyunları çevirmenliği de yapmaktadır. Jean Pierre Martinez'in eserlerini Türkçe'ye çeviren Demir, bugüne kadar 5 oyun çevirisi gerçekleştirmiştir. Bu oyunlar, Türkiye'deki çeşitli tiyatro grupları tarafından sahnelenmiş ve sahnelenmeye devam etmektedir.
