        Nokta bir zamanlar işlediği bir suç yüzünden azap çeken ve çektiği azaptan kurtulmaya çalışan bir adamın hikayesi. Ahmet yakın bir arkadaşının ön ayak olması ile tarihi değeri yüksek bir Kuran hırsızlığına istemeden bulaşır. Ancak kalkıştığı iş onu hiç istemediği bir noktaya sürükler. Filmin bir suç ve ceza ekseni üzerinde ilerleyen hikaye çizgisi Türkiye’nin geleneksel sanat formlarından birini, Osmanlı hat sanatını, da organik biçimde filme dahil ediyor. Osmanlı hat sanatının filmin biçim ve içeriğine olan etkisini gözlemleyebileceğimiz en önemli hususlardan biri ise filmin tek ve kesintisiz bir plandan oluşmuş biçiminden kaynaklanıyor. Nokta içeriğinde suç ve ceza, görev ve sorumluluk, kötülük sorunu, gelenekten yararlanma konularının üzerinde tartışma açarken seyir zevki vermeyi de ihmal etmiyor.
