There Will Be Blood filminde de beraber çalıştığı yönetmen Paul Thomas Anderson'la bir kez daha bir araya gelen Daniel Day-Lewis, son filmi Phantom Thread'te 1950'lerin çekici Londra'sındaki ünlü bir terziye hayat veriyor.

Savaştan sonra 1950'lerin büyüleyici Londra'sında, ünlü terzi Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) ve kız kardeşi Cyril (Lesley Manville) Woodcock Ailesi'nin belirgin tarzıyla kraliyet ailesinden film yıldızlarına ve mirasçılardan sosyete kadar ülkenin önde gelenlerini giydirerek İngiliz modasının merkezinde yer almaktadırlar.
