        Katherine di Savino’nun yazıp, Devlet Tiyatroları Dramaturgu Servet Aybar’ın Türkçeleştirdiği Annem Hep Derdi ki, Nedim Saban’ın uyarlamasıyla Tiyatrokare tarafından sahnelenecek. A.B.D’deki eğitimlerini tamamladıktan sonra, idealist bir ruhla Türkiye’ye gelen Nusret ve Işıl, Tarlabaşının ve İstanbul’un değişen
        koşullarına ayak uydurmakta epey zorlanırlar. Tam evliliklerini ertelemeyi düşünürken, iki tarafın da anne ve babası eve baskın yapar. Kültür şoklarının üzerine bir de ailelerle tatlı tatlı uğraşmaca eklenir.Çalınan eşyalarının peşine düşerler, ancak aldıkları hayat dersiyle gelecekte var olacak özgüveni geliştirirler.
