The play Who Killed My Father was dramatised from the last novel of the trilogy of novels by Edouard Louis, one of France's young writers. The author, who deals with the themes of racism, exploitation, sexism, economic depression, hate crime and discrimination in his novels based on his experiences in a working class family, focuses on his relationship with his father through similar themes in this last novel. He makes us realise his father's approach to phenomena such as masculinity, labour, family and the dilemmas in this approach. His father, who wears labour as an unchangeable fate, becomes bedridden as a result of a work accident. Edouard sees the state as responsible for this and holds the state responsible for the disaster that befell his father.
