Florida'daki ilk eğitimi sonrası Pennsylvania'da Carnegie Mellon Üniversitesi'nden mezun olmuştur. Babası ve kardeşi Florida'daki bir televizyon kanalında FOX televizyon haberleri için çalışmaktadır. Annesi ise profesyonel bir şarkıcıdır. Haziran 2005'te aktris Dagmara Dominczyk ile evlendi. Çiftin iki erkek çocuğu bulunmaktadır.
