Jesse Tellem and Barış Kadem are two artists who have managed to combine their different musical backgrounds into a unique blend. Jesse Tellem, son of a punk-rock drummer from Chicago, has gained a lot of recognition in recent years as a singer, songwriter and support act for well-known musicians such as (Silbermond, Di-Rect, Johannes Oerding etc). Barış Kadem, who has been performing worldwide with his mentor Kemal Dinc since his youth,
recently became the first baglama player in history to graduate from the renowned Berklee College of Music (USA) with a Master's degree in Global Jazz.
Their time together at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim laid the foundation for their creative partnership. This collaboration results in a fascinating fusion of pop, rock and Anatolian folk songs performed in both Turkish and English. This unique combination reflects their cultural roots and demonstrates their musical versatility, allowing them to appeal to a wide audience and carve out a special niche in the music market.
On November 8, Barış Kadem and Jesse Tellem will perform together with other musical guests under the motto “Ask Ile - Barış Kadem & Jesse Tellem + Friends” at Capitol Mannheim.
